These photos where taken today, about 1/2 hour from where I live...

A bench welcomes anyone with its frosty seat, but no one takes up its offer.

The most precious jewels are found in the most common places. Beads of melting frost like dew fracture the sun's light into glowing gems.

Cattails glow in the morning light. Only the beavers, breaking the pond's ice for a breath of air, see their splendor.

The strongest animals live on dry frozen grass and quinch their thirst on the morning jewels of frost.
